Arduino Nano connecting by Bluetooth using a HC-05 and HC-06

In this post I show how to set up the HC-05 to always connect to the same HC-06 (or HC-05 in Slave mode). For this we use PAIR, BIND, and LINK. I am using 2 separate Arduino IDEs; version 1.6.3 which is installed, and version 1.0.5 which I run from a folder (it is the non-install version). This allows me to use 2 IDEs at the same time, each connected to a different Arduino. It also gives me 2 serial monitors, one for each Arduino. The modules used are the zs-040 versions of the HC-05 and the HC-06. The HC-05 has the Wavesen/HC firmware 2.0-20100601 and any module running the same firmware will be the same. The HC-05 has 2 AT command modes which I refer to as “mini” AT mode and “full” AT mode and some commands only work when in “full” AT mode. To enter “full” AT mode pin 34 needs to be HIGH and kept HIGH. To accomplish this I have made a connection from pin 34 to +3.3v. See the diagram below (or after the jump).

Metal Detector Circuit

Metal detector is a very common device that is used for checking persons, luggage or bags in shopping malls, hotels, cinema halls, etc. to ensure that person is not carrying any metals or illegal things like guns, bombs etc. Metal Detectors detect the presence of metals. There are different types of metal detectors like hand held metal detectors, walk through metal detectors and ground search metal detectors. Metal detectors can be created easily and the circuit for a basic metal detector is not that complex. In this project, we have designed a simple DIY type Metal Detector Circuit using very simple components that can be used in our homes and gardens. Solar Tracker Arduino

In modern solar tracking systems, the solar panels are fixed on a structure that moves according to the position of the sun. Let us design a solar tracker using two servo motors, a light sensor consisting of four LDRs and Arduino UNO board. Circuit Diagram The circuit design of solar tracker is simple but setting up the system must be done carefully. Four LDRs and Four 100KΩ resistors are connected in a voltage divider fashion and the output is given to 4 Analog input pins of Arduino. The PWM inputs of two servos are given from digital pins 9 and 10 of Arduino.

Temperature Controlled Room Without Arduino

A Temperature Controlled System is a type of control system that automatically controls the temperature of an object or an area. Temperature Controlled with Aruino We commonly use temperature control systems in Air Conditioners, Refrigerators, geysers, etc. where the temperature is automatically adjusted as per the input settings. In order to implement a temperature control system, we need a temperature sensor, a controller, and a cooling system. In this project, we have implemented a simple Temperature control system using simple components. The aim of this project is to automatically turn on or off the fan by detecting the surrounding temperature. The hardware requirements for this simple temperature control system are: LM35, L293D, LM358, a fan and a few passive components (Resistors). Gas Leakage Detector using Arduino and GSM Module with SMS Alert and Sound Alarm

Gas Leakage Detector using Arduino and GSM Module with SMS Alert and Sound Alarm . We have published an LPG Sensor Project using Arduino and MQ5 sensor before – which senses LPG leak and produces a sound alarm. The project also has a relay system which turns ON or OFF a particular device upon gas leak (say we can turn the main electrical supply OFF upon gas leak to prevent fire). So let’s come to our project! Objectives of the Project Detect Gas Leakage (like LPG leak, Butane leak, Methane leak) or any such petroleum based gaseous substance that can be detected using MQ5 Sensor. Setup an SMS based Alert Mechanism and send 3 SMS (3 alert messages) to 2 specified mobile numbers (input inside the Arduino program) Produce a sound alarm upon a gas leak and stop the alarm once the gas leak is under control (gas presence in the atmosphere is under normal range) Display status in an LCD using a 16×2 LCD module.
